Meeting Minutes for September 9, 2025

A business meeting of the Center Township Board of Supervisors was held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Township Office in Rogersville.  Present were Daniel R. Stoneking, Chairman, Paul Cook, Vice Chairman, Harry D. Gillispie, Supervisor and N. Dawn Horr, Secretary. No visitors were present.

Paul made a motion to approve the minutes of the August meeting as read.  Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Harry made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

The monthly code enforcement report was reviewed. Several notices of violation and citations are pending. Payment of fines have been received from Roehl Transport, Spirit Services of WV and Approved Site Services.

Paul made a motion to approve the Obermiller Family Trust “South” lot split.  Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Paul made a motion to approve the Obermiller Family Trust “North” lot split.  Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

The restroom and concession trailers were placed on Municibid until noon today.  The highest bidder for the restroom trailer was the WG School District at 25,225.00.  Harry made a motion to award the sale of the restroom trailer to the school district. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

The highest bidder for the concession trailer was Gialana Tsacoyeanes from Vermont at $16,100.00.  Paul made a motion to award the concession trailer to the highest bidder.  Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Harry made a motion to advertise for bids for the West Greene Sewer Expansion Project. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously. The bids will be received until noon on Oct. 14th, at which time they will be opened and read.

As the plans for the construction of the new restrooms and concession stand at the park have not been approved by the DCNR, bids for the construction could not be advertised and have been tabled pending DCNR approval. 

Fall Clean Up Days will be held Sept. 26th and 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.

The preparation of the 2026 budget was discussed. The board agreed that a new broom is needed and discussed replacing the red F250 with a new pickup truck with a plow and spreader. 

Paul made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Harry and the meeting was adjourned at 5:12 p.m.
