Meeting Minutes for March 10, 2026

April 15, 2026

A business meeting of the Center Township Board of Supervisors was held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Township Office in Rogersville.  Present were Paul Cook, Chairman, Daniel R. Stoneking, Vice Chairman, Harry D. Gillispie, Supervisor and N. Dawn Horr, Secretary. No visitors were present.

Dan made a motion to approve the minutes of the February business meeting.  Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Dan made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Dan made a motion to postpone advertising for bids for road projects until the April meeting.  Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Harry made a motion to postpone advertising for bids for the oiling and chipping and equipment rental until the April meeting.  Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Harry made a motion to advertise for bids for stone to be received until 3:00 p.m. on April 14th at which time they will be opened and read. Motions to award the contract(s) will be made at the business meeting.  Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

Spring Clean Up Days will be held on April 17th and 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.

Harry made a motion to sell the 2018 Ford F-250 with the plow and spreader to the West Greene School District for $35,000 once the new truck has been delivered.  Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously. 

The code enforcement report was reviewed.  Several over weight violations are still pending and citations have been filed.  Regarding the trash/rubbish letters sent to two properties in Rogersville, one property owner has complied and the trash is being cleaned up.  The other property owner has not complied and a citation has been filed.

The buyer of the concession trailer through Municibid has filed a civil complaint against the township regarding the receipt of a title for the trailer.  The hearing date is March 26th.

Paul made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 3-2026 for the disposition of obsolete records as listed. 

Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously. 

Dan received quotes from Whipkey Construction for a total of $23,420 for a new roof and gutters on the office and a new roof on the sewer plant and made a motion to proceed with the repairs. Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Paul.  Harry seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 5:13 p.m.
