A business meeting of the Center Township Board of Supervisors was held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 5:15 p.m. at the Township Office in Rogersville. Present were Paul Cook, Chairman, Daniel R. Stoneking, Vice Chairman, Harry D. Gillispie, Supervisor and N. Dawn Horr, Secretary. No visitors were present.
Harry made a motion to approve the minutes of the December business and budget adoption meetings. Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Dan made a motion to approve the bills as presented with the exception of the check payable to Fox Ford in the amount of $141.87 as the service should have been under warranty. Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Dan made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 1-2026 adopting the county’s 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan. Harry seconded and all approved.
Dan made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2-2026 setting the Sewage Enforcement Officer’s fee schedule. Harry seconded and the motion was carried.
Harry made a motion to table advertising for bids for stone until the February meeting. It will not be necessary to request bids for the diesel fuel as we are under the bidding threshold. Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Paul made a motion to purchase a 2026 Ford F-450 flatbed truck with a 9.5’ Western steel V-plow package and a stainless hydraulic hopper spreader package. The truck will be purchased through the Costars program with Fox Ford for a total cost of $111,371.50. Dan seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Paul made a motion to sell the 2018 Ford F-250 with the plow and spreader on Municibid once the new truck has been delivered. Dan seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Paul. Dan seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 5:24 p.m.
