A business meeting of the Center Township Board of Supervisors was held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Township Office in Rogersville. Present were Daniel R. Stoneking, Chairman, Paul Cook, Vice Chairman, Harry D. Gillispie, Supervisor and N. Dawn Horr, Secretary. No visitors were present.
Paul made a motion to approve the minutes of the June meeting as read. Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Harry made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Bids for the Yukon Hill Road Paving Project were opened and read at noon as follows:
Morgan Excavating $86,900.00
Redstone Excavating $90,500.00
El Grande Industries $98,500.00
Harry made a motion to award the contract to Morgan Excavating and Paul seconded. Motion was carried unanimously.
The monthly code enforcement report was reviewed. The hearing with Approved Site Services was postponed until July 30th. Citations have been filed for two companies for unpaid fines. Notices of violation of been sent to two other companies.
Harry made a motion to approve the assessment appeal settlement between the Greene County Board of Assessment Appeals and Jay and Cathy Tognarini. The assessed value of Parcel No. 03-02-111.D located on Yukon Hill Road will be reduced from $4,000.00 to $1,673.64. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
The first round of mowing of the road banks has been completed.
The Impact Fee allocation in the amount of $759,249.28 was received in June 26th.
Paul made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Harry and the meeting was adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
