A business meeting of the Center Township Board of Supervisors was held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Township Office in Rogersville. Present were Daniel R. Stoneking, Chairman, Paul Cook, Vice Chairman, Harry D. Gillispie, Supervisor and N. Dawn Horr, Secretary. Visitors present were Kyle Householder and Garrett Neese.
Paul made a motion to approve the minutes of the March business meeting as read. Harry seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Harry made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Harry made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 1-2025, known as the Center Township Solar Energy Systems Ordinance. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Clean Up Days will be held on Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th.
The code enforcement report was reviewed with an update of the overweight vehicle violations pending and one paid by Spirit Services of WV. One building permit was issued for a new home on Muddy Hollow Road.
Harry made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 3-2025 to accompany the PA Small Water and Sewer Grant application. Paul seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
The four Certificates of Deposit are due to renew later this month. The board discussed the management of the funds based on the interest rates at the time of renewal.
Paul made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Harry and the meeting was adjourned at 5:11 p.m.
